Hindu Sages discovered a
perfect harmony and order in the movements of the heavenly bodies and devised a
unique scale of time measurement.
Those sages observed the path covered by the Sun in ecliptic relation to the earth with a rhythmic precision.
Likewise the Moon’s
path in relation to earth also occurred in regular intervals, establishing
units of time related to the light influence and gained the ability to the
timings of these celestial events.
Time measurement is the
center of humanity and order to observe the influence of planetary movements in
the seasons on human life.
A calendar known as
Panchanga was devised, which helped to determine which times were auspicious and
which were considered as inauspicious for the individual persona, or action to
be taken at the right time.
The Panchanga and its
original Sanskrit calendar is the timekeeping which relates to the five sources
of light.
The Sun light and its weekdays, the Nakshatra’s and its Moon position every day, Tithis and the position of the Moon during daylight, Yoga or union between Moon and its relation to the Sun and Karana the calculated relation of the Moon and the time in which the difference in longitudes of the Sun and the Moon is increased, that mirrors the sky.
The Panchanga calendar has
evolved over the last 5000 years.
Astronomy was formulated as
a discipline of knowledge in order to determine the position of planets and
stars in the past, present and the future to establish important days for
ceremonies, festivals and days for any rites of good or auspicious events, like
wedding, starting a business, or making any important decisions.
The cosmic womb and its lights
are the signification for the soul in the individual journey to find the place
of the divine equilibrium that unfolds the secret of nature and the mysteries
of the heart.
Living with the rhythm of
the cosmic pulse lets the soul dance in every moment of life realizing the
miracle of life within.
In the depth of the cosmic
ocean and its light that shines through the surface in all things is the vessel
or body that empties itself in order to be filled again like the waning and
waxing of the Moon.
