The Umbra

Earth's shadow and the daily motion of the Moon have ancient wisdom about the nature of reality and the reflection on the human conscious condition.

The play of light from the umbra is used to read the deities in the depth of darkness versus light to create, in the dualistic nature of perception, a purpose of a light constitution that works with the above-so-below law.

Vedic scholars call this the umbra of confusion, doubts, and delusion with the purpose to remove the shadow of past memory and to become aware, and one can see life in the language of the light (Jyotish) clearly as a whole.

The dance of lights in the hands of day and night is the nature of consequences, like a shadow that follows wherever one goes.

The umbra of an eclipse and absolute darkness are light echoes of ignorance that block the light from the force of providing love.

There is a penumbra as well, considered a partial or marginal reach, where truth and knowledge create a lot of false egos. The facet of lights and its colorizing phenomenon have the magical touch from the ultimate truth, or divine consciousness, as seen in the rainbow that has no shadow.

For the slow waning and waxing process of the inner light (soul) to mature, it needs the impermanence of life, with earthly existence acting as a passing shadow to establish a purification of light that compares with the providing light of God's compassion.

As the Umbra, the shadow of life by attachments, follows everywhere and needs to be understood; a shadow cannot exist without a light and is evidence of a deeper, divine light and direction.

The pure light of the masculine force from the Sun and the cosmic feminine force of the Moon is the exchange of the spirit into creativity and establishing material.

In the Vedic principle, the Moon, with its light from the Sun, uses masculine qualities of spirit to create the lunar circle of 27 days of different lunar mansions and wives to inspire the deity of that different feminine quality of a day in the natural state of the Moon.

The mind and its shadows are apparent, yet nonexistent, holding the illusion to die in vain.

The light of the equinox has ancient imprints throughout many sacred sites as a manifestation of the ultimate tolerance and compassion of that which provides love that heals all hearts.

The Umbra as emotional equilibrium on the day of one’s birthday is the light that illuminates the path that has its magical touch.
