A labyrinth is an ancient walking meditation that has a single, winding path leading to a central point.
It's symbolic interpretation and metaphor for life's journey to take easy steps, to facilitate a deeper connection to the divine, in one's inner true self.
Unlike a maze like politics or capitalism, which is built to confuse everybody that forces everybody into choices between dead ends and stress, the labyrinth leads to the solution of contentment and peace of mind. Which are the greatest good there is. It is used as a tool to focus on the journey rather than just the destination.
The releaze of the purgative mind can be established with the journey less traveled let go of the noise, stress, and mental burdens. Reaching the center should have created stillness with clarity from intuitive listening.
The walk back out should be a tracing of one's profound thoughts that gained peace to share with the world.
The spiral movement and cone of reflecting cosmic alignments mirrors life's ever extending seasons far beyond the hereafter to complete the pilgrimage of a eternal sanctuary.. The labyrinth therefore is a localized alternative to long-distance pilgrimages and its sacred sites.
The path spirals back and forth, connecting the left rational mind and right intuitive mind to establish a equilibrium of masculine and feminine qualities.
Walking a labyrinth is often described
as poetic metaphor for life's self- discovery and healing.
