Wonder
of mind
The
mental conflict, in making decisions and its curious and inquisitive approach
to observe and become aware is a unique observation in Jyotish.
The
threshold between matter and the soul with its necessities of emotional growth
are the stepping stone of spiritual evolution.
To
understand the mental make-up one has to look at east at birth and consider the
rising sign and its energies. The planets controlling reason and emotion, especially
Mercury and Moon respectively.
Mental
ailments of any nature will reveal itself in the natal zodiac and to the
planets therein. Mercury governs learning and knowing, while the Moon controls
the emotional and intuitive intellect of the mind. In Ayurvedic astrology the central
nervous system is controlled both by the Moon and Mercury and its ruling
disposition.
The
6th house of a chart relates to the sub-conscious, the 9th to the divine conscious
and the 12th to unconscious states of mind.
Afflictions
to the houses mentioned above go a long way to manifest mental maladies. When ether is deranged in the chart, it will eventually
behave erratically. Generally, everybody at times becomes an easy
prey to mental imbalances, because we behave differently at different times
