In Vedic astrology, Arudha
Lagna means once tied up attained rising sign and represents how others
perceive the self, reflecting once public image based on once actions and the
image of projection.
While the main Lagna or
natural ascendant reflects once true personality, Arudha Lagna focuses on the
image one present to the world, which is mostly different from the image one
has of the self.
It essentially explores how once actions and
attributes manifest in the eyes of others and what the world will offer to
sustain the self.
Arudha Lagna reveals the
reputation one has created and its karmic influence seen as a reflection of
ones past actions and how they impact the current image. Arudha Lagna is
associated with wealth, success, and fame, impacting the career and once social
standing.
In essence, Arudha Lagna is
a powerful tool in Jyotish for understanding how once actions and personality

life's path and opportunities in the world and society.

The Moon represents society
and one needs a social identity to exist as an independent person in society
and need to look at from the Arudha Lagna and its social identity or image of a
person. Aspects of planets good or bad, peaceful or aggressive, intelligent or
introvert are all social categorizations to describe a person.
When one renounces society
and becomes a Monk or Seer, one gives up self-identity and once worldly
belongings, relationships, status, and even name. Arudha Lagna is perception of
the third dimension once perception is the reality and embodies the greatest
truths about the self, understanding that one is not always what it seems.
Mental projections are more
often delusion, than factual reality, as ones perceptions rarely meet with the
reality of the material world. But this reality that exists in our heads is
often more influential in our behavior than the material world itself. The
perception, the perceived aspect of the self, is very influential with ones
interaction with reality.
How wonderful it is to
feel, that if no one in the world understands the self, still the divine order
and its cue to individuality and soul, understood by God.
