Rahu's function

 

 

 

 Rahu functions like a negative Jupiter.

 Like Saturn, Rahu can have disastrous effects, psychologically, and even physically, and has similarities to the greater benefic in that it has to do with the urge of constant expansion and being in control.

  Jupiter in his best has to do with overall good fortune and privilege, while Rahu’s connection creates the desire for wanting to know now, regardless its consequence. 

Like with Jupiter, Rahu has to do with “much-ness”, and not getting enough.

 People with strong Saturn, tend to be simple and humble.

They may have inferiority complexes, but they are not materially avaricious.

Rahu is the “I want it all”, money, power, fame, success, food, sex, excitement, or experience.

There is a sense of boundlessness, but it’s often combined with a lack of discipline and willingness to do the work that’s necessary to gain that which is desired.

Rahu is associated with crime or moral wrongdoing.

Where there is a desire for power or control Rahu may be observed conjunct the Sun, Moon, or ascendant.

A Rahu conjunct Mars indication establishes fears on many levels and its regardless actions. With Venus conjunct, established relationships may be suddenly thrown away. Rahu can also have to do with fame mostly with very little consequence as it is based on attention seeking phobias. Rahu and Moon conjunction are indications that relation with mother was disturbed and establishes issues with females in general.
