Freedom is not for the
individual to do what they like to do, because the individual is conditioned.
Is it possible to be free from this conditioning, not the ideological but actually psychologically, inwardly liberated.
One is in a mental prison, however decorative that prison may be. Freedom is not a state of the mind that is caught in thought.
Thought
can never be free.
Thought is the response of
memory, knowledge and experience; it is always the product of the past and that
is in the living active present.
Thought which formulates a concept according to which one tries to live in. The formulation of ideologies and the attempted conformity to those ideologies are in everybody’s electronic hand, throughout the world. The more specialized, the more intellectual, the more involved, the more fake connections, it becomes of serious importance and a mental handicap.
With it come the righteous arrogance and the result of political and racial divisions or religious distinctions. Psychological rewards, the promise of heaven, the punishment of hell in abundance and people love it. We are going on killing each other, in the name of God, in the name of an ideology, in the name of country, in the name of the unresolved rage, at any moment.
If you look at others, can you look without the imagery of thought, without a preconceived memory?
We live in a world of
concepts, in a world of thought. As long "love" is the product of
thought and as a concept, there is not love.
The crisis in one's life with all its memories of the old creates immediate action, based essentially on yesterdays experience making it today, already vulnerable. One self is now second hand again.
The mind
must be in a constant state of learning and then the mind becomes extraordinarily
aware.
The contentment of the mind
raises the intellect above the strife of worthless things and beyond the
limitation of human nature.
The motive power is
creative and constructive, but it is the motive that handicaps the power of the
now, that has no limits.
