To be ambitious is a course
as a form of self-interest, self enclosure, and therefore it breeds mental
mediocrity.
To live in an ambitious
world without being ambitious means to love something for itself without
seeking a reward or to be somebody.
To do something which one
really loves awakens the spirit of greatness which never seeks approbation or
recompense, which does things for their own sake and one is not caught in the
influence of the mental maze.
The worship of success that
gets exploited by the media and encouraging ambition and competitiveness is
breeding mediocrity of mind and false beliefs.
The gentle spirit with
great inward strength has no anxiety that paralyses activities and all virtues
will dissolve in the breath of purity.
This demands great
intelligence, which means, really, a mind that does not think according to any
particular pattern, but is free in itself and is therefore capable of seeing
what is true and that which is false.
If one will not rise above
the things of this world, they will rise above you. We all have experienced
that to much enthusiasm pushes desired object of attainment farther away, or
off all together.
Worries consume the spirit
of action for the load of responsibilities weighs upon the soul more than the
strain of work.
As long one sees the right
side of once own mind and the wrong side of others, one is observing facts in
action and not the truth in realization. Otherwise whatever one does or speaks
about, is denying the reality.
True righteousness is the natural
outcome of right thinking.
Every action therefore that
defeats its own object is wrong.
The realization of truth is
the greatest luxury.
To know the universe is
ambitious, the desire to understand the heart is genius. Being great, as a part of the whole is beyond
the entirely useless claim to fame.
Or as Oscar Wilde stated,
ambition is the last refuge of the failure.
