Modify the Cause

One cannot control the weather, but one can dress properly to it and so one can also adapt and modify as well the cause of some illness.

Potential causes of illness and imbalance are constantly arising, both within us and on the outside.

Thoughts and feelings are changing, and stressful situations are coming and going and in response to these changes, one has to act skillfully.

The Vedas speak about, that skill in action is called balance or the yoga to be in time with a situation, to be smart enough to know once previous history and the lessons from it.

Taking action to modify the cause has different body’s response and that particular factor will have its positive effect.

This principle applies equally well to psychological factors, like watching exiting or violent movies that upsets the psyche and triggers emotions provoking anxiety or fears, or getting angry with people on social sites. Sure one has observed this happening and the next time one is confronted with visuals like this, one can just say no.  Developing awareness of the potential cause, one can avoid them or deal with them intelligently.

The idea of watching an action movie is already an indication of fiery emotions what needs a change of mind with calm meditations, a walk in the park or exercising some prayers.

Mental provocations are very dangerous then the thought is already damaging and influencing the attitude of how to deal with things.

This principle is a simple example and makes good sense, which is too easy to overlook it, in practical daily life. But it is extremely powerful and effective, and if one applies it, one will find that the effortless balance to the mind and body is a pleasure to observe.

Many underestimate the damage of the cause, not seeing the limitations through which one has to work with, to be in balance of mental liberation and creating strength for other habits.

The imbalances of the psyche are the unrealities of life that pushes the doors with the body to the reality of struggle.

To be honest to the self takes away the fear of vices, otherwise one is subject to vice. When one acquaints one self in pride to vice one is captive, but those who learn from vice, passes through it and rise above it, is the master and conqueror.

To modify the cause of stress and its physical trigger effect one simple create a sense of compassion to the world with gardening, taking care of animals or making oneself a part of mother natures harmony with allowing ones senses to enjoy the natural landscape.

The mind must be one’s obedient servant, otherwise one is chasing shadows of happiness, and then happiness alone is natural and is attained by living naturally.

Subtlety is the art of intelligence.
